The program is intended for experienced professional educators (managers/principals) and an open access policy applies for entry. Forty percent of quota places in the Graduate Certificate in Education are allocated to women applicants.

Entry

Entry to the program requires satisfactory experience in an appropriate educational setting. To be eligible for this program, a student must have completed a Bachelor of Education (or an equivalent qualification) or have satisfied the Dean, Faculty of Education & Creative Arts, of their competence to undertake the program on the basis of an equivalent qualification. For example, equivalence may be determined by a combination of:

  • an academic record in a diploma or certificate award of appropriate content and standard;
  • published or unpublished material of appropriate content and standard;
  • non-award professional development activities and/or work experience.
