Handbook Terminology:

Weighted Grade Point Average (WGPA)

Weighted Grade Point Average is defined to mean the average of the grade of results obtained by a student in all of the courses for which the student is enrolled, weighted by the value of the units of credit of each course in accordance with the formula in the policy. WGPAs are used throughout the University to measure student performance, for example, the class of Honours to be awarded to a student, and in the awarding of prizes and scholarships.

For further information, refer to Calculation of a Weighted Grade Point Average policy.
