Course details

Futures and the work of futuring as it applies in educational settings is the focus of this course. Concepts associated with e-learning are examined. Students are required develop a repertoire of methods for thinking and communicating about the future. In order to identify and respond productively to the challenges of futures oriented learning, students need to develop an ability to examine critically ideas about the future. It explores the kinds of technological competencies that are required of creative workers now and in the future. It focuses particularly on the underlying logic and purposes of e-learning and how e-learning provides a platform for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial activity in a 'knowledge society'. This course also explores the intent of the Technology Key Learning Area and Essential Learnings.
