Course details

This is an advanced scene study course in the developmental history of theatre 'realism' as a writing and performance style. Focusing on multi-dimensional characters by Shaw, Ibsen and Chekhov as primary examples, students will prepare and engage in absorbing the mental, visceral and physical demands of maintaining a role in a realistic and highly structured scene work. Students will prepare this work as a culmination of their acting studies in the execution of a professional Showcase to theatre casting agents and drama producers.
