Course details

The student continues the systematic progression of the ideas and expressive practicum in the realisation of the Art of Musical Theatre through the framework of the triple-threat. Greater degrees of insight and personal reflection evidenced through the various practicum are expected at this level. Singing: continues to address the development of vocal techniques in song with the addition of extra skills in microphone technique. Improvements in stamina and tonal complexion and the use of vowel modification (`articulators¿) determining vocal timbre and quality will be introduced. Acting: develops concurrent concepts of `freedom¿ working organically through personal connection, impulse and imagination with analytical skills to shape the performer¿s craft across material within a range of styles and demands. Dance: pursues greater skills in dance routines and song-and-dance routines at a high level of efficiency building upon increasing security in technique.
