DGTL12002 Interactivity and Social Networks

Course details

This course investigates multimedia based digital interactive networks and the tools and interaction models for creating and enhancing online social networks. Current and emerging communication and collaboration technologies, such as blogs, wikis, vidcasting and viral programs influence the creation, storage and exchange of information about individuals and groups. Special attention is given to the manner in which the design, adoption and use of these technologies is shaped by the (i) characteristics of the technology, (ii) social practices, (iii) economic considerations, and (iv) policy issues.
