EDED20457 Design of Pedagogy

Course details

This course uses a contemporary research based pedagogical framework to enable students on satisfactory completion, to design and deliver learning experiences that achieve learning outcomes in primary school contexts. Continuing from the capabilities developed in the course Pedagogical Content Knowledge, students should further develop skills that enable them to design learning experiences that have learners extend, refine and use knowledge meaningfully. Students focus on complex reasoning processes and creating a meaningful context for learning using the Essential Learnings, particularly in the Science and Studies of Society and Environment Key Learning Areas. Students should design and implement quality learning experiences that result in transdisciplinary knowledge and skills for learners in primary school contexts.
