EDED20450 Teaching English as a Foreign Language

Course details

This course aims to introduce the theoretical foundations of second language teaching and to examine practical applications of these for effective teaching of English as a Foreign Language. The course focuses on current approaches and examines how these may be used or adapted across a range of diverse contexts. Communicative approaches and teaching methods related to these are used as the basis for practical teaching experiences of small-groups. The course addresses instruction in speaking and listening, reading and writing, and the assessment of learning in these areas.
