CULT13007 Youth and Popular Culture

Course details

In this course students will acquire the ability to identify social and social change and their effects on one sub-culture: Youth. Students will gain a knowledge of the influences on this subculture of the rapid changes in the latter half of the 20th Century. Dance as an expression of reaction to the changes along with the other influences and outcomes displayed through related areas such as music, technology, fashion, media. Language of the subculture is central to this term¿s study.
