Course details

This course continues the systematic progression in the basic principles of contemporary dance for students with prior dance experience. The student should demonstrate correspondingly higher levels of skill in enchainments, flexibility, style, rhythm and presentation. Choreographic experience is further developed in tandem with theoretical and historical perspectives. Students will be introduced to Contact Improvisation (CI) and its impact on the development of contemporary Dance technique since the 1970s.
