This course covers a detailed history of interactive multimedia performance as seen through contextual studies in staging philosophy and performance design. Students examine and respond to questions of convergence in performance genres, the remediation of art works and the ways in which the concept of 'liveness' in performance is influenced by contemporary cultural and technological change.
