PHYS12074 Concepts of Astronomy

Course details

This course is an introduction for scientists and non-scientists to the study of the objects we see in our skies. It will take as its starting point what we can see with our own eyes. Consideration will be given to the extra information available from telescopes of all types, and to the use of physical insights to interpret the structure of the stars, planets, galaxies and other objects we see.
