MUSC13399 Live Performance of Digital Music

Course details

This course is only available to students who have successfully auditioned for the Bachelor of Music (Creative Music Technologies) program. A hands-on course for creators of digital music artefacts in presenting sonic creations and music 'live' in performance. This course builds upon previous experience gained in programming audio both within object oriented and text-based languages. Performance is contextualized within the knowledge of sonic art performance practice. Students will be free to choose a stylistic idiom and work alone, or in collaboration with others, in the presentation of a 'set' of music. Students may choose to use self-designed human computer interfaces, existing commercial control interfaces or a combination of both.
