ENSE11001 Digital Systems

Course details

This course is designed to give the students a basic understanding of digital circuits and the architecture and operation of a microprocessor-based system typical of a modern personal computer. This course is designed to give students a basic understanding of the following: digital numbering systems and codes; logic functions; Boolean algebra and Karnaugh maps; sequential circuits flip-flops, counters and shift registers; binary arithmetic circuits; introduction to microprocessors; databases, memory devices, architecture; and introduction to PLDs.
