Course details
This course has a pre-requisite of Ensemble 1 and allows students to undertake further group practical music activities utilizing their principal study instrument. Student work in this course is tailored to meet each student's particular learning needs to ensure that the course value adds to the student's learning and to their program of study. This course aims to develop the highest possible interactive musicianship and ensemble performance skills as well as providing varied opportunities for group musical expression. For viability, ensembles are composed of appropriate student resources and may vary from semester to semester. Professionalism in rehearsal and public arenas as well as general team-work and creative collaboration are part of the expectations in this course. Each succeeding course in Ensemble will require students to demonstrate a greater degree of musicianship, ensemble skills and professional development.
