COIT23003 Games Development

Course details

This course is designed to analyse, apply and evaluate the knowledge common in the computer games domain. The issues in the games development lifecycle are studied and critically evaluated. Topics include a history of computer games, the game lifecycle, game design, game programming and audio visual design and production. Business, legal and social issues as they apply to the computer games industry will also be covered.

Students will be expected to carry out processes that use this knowledge in solving practical problems in the computer games development. The student will also be expected to conduct independent research into the current state of art in issues in computer games development.
