Course details
Students choose and learn new content, and new pedagogy or assessment skills. The course contains three modules, with a maximum of two content + pedagogy modules and one misconceptions/assessment module. The aim is to expand the student’s content knowledge, pedagogy and understanding of the alternative conceptions that hinder learning. For example, the course would comprise a range of topics including but not limited to: B4 Structure and function of cells, viruses; B8 Vertebrate anatomy and diversity; study of common alternative conceptions cells and viruses and animal structure and functions. Pedagogy will focus on concept mapping or interviews-about-evetns (IAE) and instances (IAI).
