Compulsory courses:
* COIT11222 may be taken instead of COIT11134 and COIT12137 may be taken instead of COIT12140.
Students who have passed COIT11133 Programming Fundamentals, but not COIT11134 Procedural Programming or COIT11222 Visual Programming, must complete COIT11134 Procedural Programming or COIT11222 Visual Programming the next time their preferred course is available on the student's campus.

Note: For this specialisation, since two of the above courses are Level 1, the student may choose only 2 additional Level 1 electives.
Advanced IT Electives:
Please note: COIT19209/10 Computing Project Part A and Part B count as 1 in this list.
Rules governing electives:
- electives may include general electives from other CQU degrees
- no more than 6 elective courses may be taken outside the Faculty of Informatics & Communication
- no more than 4 electives may be Level 1 courses
- due to content overlap, students may not take the following courses:
