EDED11328 Teaching Health and Fitness

Course details

This course introduces students to theoretical foundations of human movement and personal fitness. Through the study of anatomy and physiology, students develop an appreciation of the body's many responses to exercise, and understanding of how to foster sports performance and physical fitness. Techniques for assessing the various components of fitness are examined and guidelines for the development and maintenance of fitness are provided. The relationship of fitness to overall health and the benefits of an active lifestyle are also addressed.
