MMST13017 Experiments in New Media

Course details

This course investigates the emergence of new media forms and concepts, and the relationship between "new" and "old" forms within culture. Contemporary new media concepts are explored via a series of practical experiments. As an advanced course, students choose their own software / technical approach to design and develop an experiment according to the liberties and constraints of the chosen approach. This course provides a practical and theoretical opportunity to explore the limits of new media forms and practices.
