Program Overview

The degree enhances the professional skills that students acquired in their primary degree by allowing students to assess more rigorously the links between the theoretical bases and practice.

The degree also develops skills in problem analysis and research which can be applied at the professional level.

The Honours degree is the first step in undertaking an academic or research orientated career as it provides access to higher degrees by research.

Entry

The following factors are taken into account in selection and admission of Honours candidates:

It is expected that candidates who achieve a GPA of 5 in their final 2 years of degree study will be admitted.

However, candidates whose levels of achievement fall below these admission requirements for any particular year, may apply to the faculty concerned for special consideration of their applications.
