Program Overview

This combined qualification is a pilot program that leads to the awards of Diploma of Hospitality (Management) from the Central Queensland Institute of TAFE and the Bachelor of Business Administration from Central Queensland University.

Program Structure

Students with a completed Diploma of Hospitality Management from TAFE Qld are eligible for exemption from a total of eight courses (48 units of credit).

Students must complete a program of 16 courses (96 units of credit) at Central Queensland University which comply with the requirements detailed below.

Satisfy the requirements of one plan. A plan is defined as 6 courses in a specialist area and must include at least 4 advanced level courses. The plan must be chosen from the following specialist areas offered by the Faculty of Business & Law:

2 elective courses, selected from any 6 point undergraduate course offered by CQU, subject to approval by the Dean. The Faculty will notify students if their selection of elective courses has not been approved.

NOTE: Students are limited to studying a maximum of 12 courses at Level 1 which includes the 8 compulsory courses.
