Practicum/Work Placement: 100 days of Fieldwork must be undertaken. 80 days will be completed in schools working with registered teachers, and a further 20 with children in an educational setting. Within the undergraduate Bachelor of Education, which is an initial teacher education program, students are permitted to select a plan of studies which will provide special skills in one area such as creative and performing arts, human movement or maths/science. Students wishing to teach in Catholic Education settings may be able to take an alternative program which includes specialist religious education courses.
