Master of Environmental Management CU19

Duration: 3 years part-time.
Mode and Location: External only.
Fees: Full-fee-paying.
Courses/Units of Credit: 8 courses plus one year research project/72 units of credit.

Entry: Direct.
Residential School: 2.5 days per course.
Exit Awards: Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management, Graduate Diploma of Environmental Management.

This program is aimed at the professional upgrading of persons entering or employed in the area of environmental management. More specifically, the program aims to produce persons who understand different environmental philosophies, strategies and environmental management work processes, are able to contribute positively to the management of maintenance, have practical knowledge of environmental management and sustainability tools, and can successfully conduct research in environmental management.

Entry

Applicants who have a Bachelor degree (in engineering, technology, science or business) may be enrolled directly into the Master of Environmental Management program. Progression to the Masters project requires satisfactory completion of eight Graduate Diploma program courses. Applicants who do not possess a bachelor degree can be admitted to the Masters program only via the Graduate Diploma. Such applicants must have extensive experience at a senior level in environmental or operations management and must have achieved excellent results in the Graduate Diploma program. Such applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Program Structure (8 courses plus research)

To satisfy the requirements of the award, students must complete eight courses or 48 units of credit plus a research project to a total of 72 units of credit as outlined below:
