The primary objective of this program is to provide professional engineers and scientists with an in-depth understanding of environmental issues, problems, and solutions, and with the necessary knowledge and tools to integrate environmental considerations into all aspects of their professional roles. EntryA degree in science, engineering or technology. Graduates from other disciplines will be considered provided that they have an appropriate technical background. Completion of the Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management also allows entry to the Graduate Diploma. Program Structure (8 courses)
Residential schools involve CQU staff and visiting experts, and often include seminars, field trips and other hands on' activities. Students should refer to the course profiles for residential school details for individual courses of study. Since most students will be working full time, it is envisaged that many students may take up to 4 years to complete the Graduate Diploma (one course per term). ElectivesStudents will be given some elective choice as specified under the Program Structure. Individual non-standard student programs will be subject to approval by the program controlling Board of Studies, which will take into account the student's past educational background, the level of the proposed alternative subjects, and their coherence with the overall objectives of the program.
