Program Structure
It is recommended that students commencing in the BLM (Secondary & VET) program undertake their studies over a minimum four year period as outlined below. Students commencing the program in Term 2 will be required to follow a different study plan to that shown below. Program planners can be accessed from the following link:
http://www.cqu.edu.au/academic/hed/changes-and-planners
Please note that the placement of Teaching Area (Discipline) courses within these various planners are a guide only. Most of these courses come from other Schools within the Division of Higher Education where the School of Education has no control over course offerings, therefore some courses may only be offered in certain terms including Term 3. Please also note that it may be a requirement for you to complete all courses within a Teaching Area (Discipline) in the Distance mode. You MUST refer to the current online handbook and please discuss your options with your Program Advisor.

Students are required to select two secondary teaching disciplines. Within the first teaching discipline, students must undertake and pass seven (7) courses. Within the second teaching discipline, students must undertake and pass five (5) courses.
Students enrolled prior to 2012 who had selected alternative discipline areas, will be able to continue and complete their original disciplines.
