About Physiotherapy
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy is a four year program designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to practice as a Physiotherapist.
Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession concerned with human function and movement, and physiotherapists use a range of methods in their work, including exercise, manual techniques, education and advice. Physiotherapists provide evidence-based interventions that engage the participation of people of all ages in addressing their health needs, with a strong focus on preventing injuries and promoting health and wellbeing. Empowerment of the individual and self-management are at the core of the profession.
Students will develop knowledge and skills in the assessment, treatment and management of a range of conditions, for people of all ages.
The program includes a large amount of practical experience, through both university-based courses and through clinical education placements in a range of clinical settings.
