Career Opportunities

The Master of Health Professional Education affords health professionals the opportunity to develop their clinical teaching skills and gain a formal qualification in teaching. The graduate can then be regarded as having expertise in the area of health professional education. This allows graduates to be employed in leadership positions within clinical education in their health discipline.

The Master of Health Professional Education provides a multidisciplinary program of study to health care professionals involved in teaching and learning in health service settings. The design of this program is characterised by a strong emphasis on clinical reasoning and decision-making, and ensuring its effective learning. The program enables health care professionals to develop a sound working knowledge of adult learning principles in the context of contemporary clinical education. Graduates will gain an appreciation for good practice in learning and teaching, and will be equipped to cultivate educational leadership in a manner conducive to fostering scholarship, research and innovation in clinical education.
