PODI13014 Diabetes in Podiatry Practice

Course details

This course focuses on lower limb pathology resulting from diabetes mellitus.. Evidence based practice will guide assessment and management of the diabetic patient in podiatry practice. Students will define primary health care goals for persons with diabetes. Barriers to diabetes care will be examined in specific population groups including Australian Indigenous communities; people with mental illness; and across rural and remote communities.
