Course details

This course examines the theory and practice of risk assessment and risk management. Risk is one of the key concepts in safety science and throughout the course students will learn about: naive theories of risk and lay risk asessment, historical and contemporoary debates in risk management, theories of risk management, risk assessment methodologies and their limitations and developing risk management strategies. This course provides students with the knowledge and skills to manage risk in organisations.
