LAWS20057 Mining Law

Course details

This course provides an introduction to mining and resources law. The principles have application in Queensland and other Australian States where mining is undertaken. Students investigate and describe the key legal obligations and examine a selection of laws and international instruments that apply to exploration, mining and extraction within Queensland. Students will analyse laws that affect mining approvals and operations and the regulation of economic, social and environmental impacts of mining.
