NHLT13001 Palliative Care

Course details

This course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to engage in effective palliation in a generalist setting. The impact of historical and contemporary trends on community perceptions of death, dying and bereavement in society will be examined in this course. Through critical examination of contemporary ethical and sociocultural issues, students will be able to advocate for the provision of holistic, person-centred and effective palliative care in a variety of contexts.
