SAFE20003 Humans and Complex Safety Systems

Course details

The course introduces students to the way humans function in complex social and organisational safety systems. Students will consider the abilities of humans and the way that humans function in such complex safety systems. This course discusses basic principles in safety science and provides base knowledge that students build upon throughout their program. Throughout the course students will learn about: individual abilities and limitations; decision making; teams; and situational, social and organisational pressures.
