SPCH13007 Research in Practice 2

Course details

Students¿ understanding of the role of research in applied contexts is consolidated as they acquire the knowledge and skills to conduct critical evaluation of pertinent literature and apply evidence-based practice (EBP) principles to speech pathology. A major emphasis is on the use of qualitative analytical approaches, including interviews, focus groups, participant observation, case studies, ethnography and action research (blending qualitative and quantitative methods). The focus within quantitative methodology shifts to within and between subject research designs (treatment efficacy).
