SAFE20006 Simulators: Principles & Applications

Course details

This course examines the fundamental principles and concepts behind simulators, towards developing a better understanding of their applications. Students will learn about the key constituents of simulator design and fidelity; using simulators to deliver training; understanding factors that limit and constrain simulator tractability; skills substantive to complex simulated task environments; managing simulator research; familiarisation with and treatment of human simulator performance data; and identification of substantive psychological concerns in simulator usage.
