EDEL20001 Learning Theory in the Digital Age

Course details

This course explores the learning theory literature, and evaluates the place of a range of learning theories in a contemporary, digital learning environment. Students participate in activities that support knowledge construction, and support reflection on learning theories in action in an e-learning environment. The needs and requirements for learners to succeed in a 21st Century workplace are evaluated. The roles and responsibilities of learners and teachers are linked with learning theory to support a design rationale responsive to employee needs in a contemporary working context. The importance of the individual learning context is explored and new understandings of teaching and learning developed.
