ENAE12002 Computer Aided Drafting Design (Electrical/Electronic)

Course details

In this course students develop skills in computer aided drafting processes relevant to electrical and electronic devices, systems and installations. They discuss common drafting practices, design standards and manufacturers product information needed to prepare project drawings and documentation. They interpret and produce schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, circuit board layouts, logic diagrams, architectural and equipment layouts and component details for electrical and electronic devices. Students explain the roles of design team members and processes used to manage design and project information and documentation. They develop skills required to communicate using electrical/electronic design terminology, plan and work and learn professionally.

Distance education students are required to have access to a computer and to make frequent use of the Internet.
