Course details
This clinical course will provide opportunities to apply and integrate both theoretical and practical knowledge, concepts, skills and professional behaviours in the clinical environment, while under the supervision of qualified professionals. The practical focus in this course includes the completion of abdominal, renal, and superficial structure ultrasound scans. Students will learn to analyse images and solve problems in a professional and creative manner. Behavioural aspects of professional practice are emphasised and students are expected to reflect on their own performance and to exhibit the highest level of safe patient care. Critical appraisal of performance will enable students to develop their patient care, professional, technical and analytical skills in a work setting under supervision.
