MEDI11004 Professional Practice

Course details

Students learn to interact effectively with patients and staff through an understanding of
patient professional and interprofessional relationships. The course provides an
overview of the psycho social legal and ethical issues that impact on best practice. It
contextualises good communication and collaborative teamwork skills and introduces
the student to evidence based practice, reflective practice, good judgement and decision
making in the health professions. Distance education students (FLEX) students must
have access to a computer and will need to make frequent use of the internet professions.
