EDEL20003 Global Learning Futures

Course details

Mobile learning is emerging as a growth area in e-learning globally. The functionality of a range of mobile devices will be assessed. Global learning futures linked to mobile learning will be evaluated through an exploration of the emerging literature, and through communication with primary sources of information. The role of developed nations in supporting mobile learning in developing nations will be assessed. Cross-cultural understanding and global citizenship as an outcome of collaboration between students and primary sources (including sites, persons, etc) will be evaluated.
The contribution of open source software and learning resources to the education futures of both developed and developing nations will be evaluated. The outcome of evaluation will be analysed in each individual¿s own teaching and learning context to assess the impact of findings on own practice.
