EDED20437 Social Research Methods

Course details

This course is designed to enable students to identify, distinguish, explain and review the major research paradigms in the social and applied sciences. The course reviews both quantitative and qualitative approaches with a particular emphasis on ethnography and case study. The course provides a solid reference base so that candidates can design a model of critical inquiry in the form of proposed research activities that can generate meaningful solutions to the research problem. In this pursuit, the nature and application of potential research methods are analysed with specific reference to the industry in which the research will take place.
