NURS11149 Foundations of Nursing Practice 1

Course details

This course introduces students to foundational nursing care. Students will perform fundamental assessment skills in a simulated environment, including assessment of risk of patients and explore how variations in health and development influence health assessment findings. Fundamental skills of planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting nursing care are developed in this course. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate safe practice of selected skills in a simulated environment and will be introduced to the significance of Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMC) competencies to nursing practice.
