NURS11153 Health and Behaviour

Course details

Understanding that health and illness is a unique experience for each individual and integrally related to thoughts, feelings and actions is essential for any health professional. This course provides the opportunity for the student to explain psychological, social and cultural foundations of health and illness and the role of emotion in health and illness. Students will critically examine factors influencing health and illness behaviours including developmental stage and cognitions, and develop strategies to facilitate changes in health behaviour.
