NURS11154 Foundations of Nursing Practice 2

Course details

This course builds on the foundational nursing knowledge, skills and dispositions developed in NURS11149 ¿ Foundations of Nursing Practice 1. Concepts of therapeutic communication will be applied in the assessment and care of individuals. Students will have the opportunity to undertake simulated and actual patient assessment, planning and implementation of nursing care. Students will be expected to function within the scope of practice of a nursing student in accordance with Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (ANMC) competencies during compulsory clinical placement.

Students who have satisfactorily completed NURS11150 Holistic Nursing Assessment and/or NURS11151 Beginning Nursing Practice are not required to complete this new course.
