MDWF21001 Introduction to Midwifery

Course details

In this introductory course, students will have the opportunity to explore the philosophy underpinning contemporary midwifery practice in national and international settings. Students develop an understanding of the theoretical, historical and political contexts of midwifery and how these concepts have influenced contemporary midwifery practice.

There is a compulsory 5-day residential school attached to this course.
