NURS12146 Person Centred Approach to Chronic Illness

Course details

Students enrolled in this course will explore the complexity of nursing care for patients and clients with a chronic illness across the lifespan. Course content will focus on assessment, planning, implementing, evaluating and documenting evidence based nursing care for patients and clients experiencing chronic illness. The importance of communication and collaboration in facilitating positive health outcomes in the chronic care setting is emphasised in this course. Students will be expected to function within the scope of practice of a nursing student in accordance with ANMC competencies during a compulsory clinical placement.
