COIT20231 Mobile Computing

Course details

This course introduces students to current research issues in mobile computing. Students are also exposed to the practical issues involved in the design and implementation of mobile portals to enterprise systems. The software development process for mobile platforms will be addressed and particular attention will be paid to the impact that limited computing resources and wireless communication have on the development of secure, reliable and easy to use applications. The business drivers for mobile portals will be discussed, as will the social impact of mobile technology.
