ALLH11001 Introduction to Allied Health Practice

Course details

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to define the role/s of Allied Health Practitioners and describe contemporary models of health care practice. Further to this, they will be introduced to the operation of a clinic setting. As a result, they will be able to: Explain the legislative requirements and best practice approaches to Occupational Health and Safety and the principles of legal and ethical practice in the heath care context; Discuss the professional behaviours expected of Allied Health professionals; and Apply knowledge of infection control to the preparation of a healthcare environment for client visits.
