MDWF20009 Practice in Midwifery

Course details

This course introduces students to the normal processes of pregnancy and childbirth. Students will examine the role of the midwife in promoting and facilitating normal processes of childbearing. Students will develop an understanding of the philosophy of midwifery care emphasising concepts of ¿with woman¿, midwife-woman partnerships and continuity of care.
There is a 5-day compulsory residential school attached to this course.
