PMSC13004 Clinical Paramedic Practice 3

Course details

Students will develop an understanding of paramedic care through clinical placement in an ambulance station. The aim of this course is to prepare the student with proficient perception and attributes that will allow the student to work independently in out of hospital care of the sick and injured patient, at the completion of the degree. Within this course students will undertake a full 12 weeks of placement separated into urban/metropolitan (8 weeks) and rural and remote (4 weeks). Upon recommendation from the degree program lead, and in conjunction with the assistant commissioner and regional manager staff development, a student may apply to work for the Queensland Ambulance Service during this practicum. Knowledge and skills will be developed through a series of coursework exercises and practical experience.
